American Grace

Professor David Campbell will comment on his most recent work, American Grace, with a response from Georgetown Professor Clyde Wilcox.

Widely considered as the new tome on religion in contemporary America, Robert Putnam and David Campbell carefully examine those aspects of American religion that have made it unique among all nations: high religious observance, high religious diversity, and high religious tolerance. Professor Campbell will offer an updated assessment of religion in America since American Grace’s first edition two years ago.

Professor Campbell is the John Cardinal O'Hara, C.S.C. Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Notre Dame and the founding director of the Rooney Center for the Study of American Democracy.
